WOW, I can't believe how badly the banks want to hold onto their inventory!!! Chase bank agreed to sell a property at short sale for a price that THEY set, we wrote an over full price offer, it's been more than 4 months and they still had not even signed the contract. We rolled up to the closing date and the bank refused to return phone calls. Closing date came, went, and was reset, still no signature, second closing date has come and gone. NOW the bank has ordered a new BPO (appraisal) and raised the price $20K!!! Buyer is walking...of course. Poor owners. they are in a terrible fix! Hope they don't end up in foreclosure...
Any suggestions out there for the local Realtor community to band together and try to put pressure on someone? This is getting ridiculous!
I don't want this to become a "rant platform", but rather a place to gather constructive ideas that might serve to help this market clear some of it's inventory. Good people should able to move on with their lives rather than remain in limbo like this for months and months.
